THE wife of a fraudster marathon runner who claimed £38,000 in disability benefits is due to stand trial.
Graham Totterdell, 72, claimed to be 70 per cent disabled, yet managed to run the London Marathon twice.
Totterdell, of Dover, admitted fraud.
Now wife April is facing a similar charge, Canterbury crown court heard.
The 48-year-old is alleged to have completed application forms, but is expected to claim it was “under duress”.
She denies fraud and is scheduled to face trial in February.
Her husband’s case was adjourned for sentencing.
