Disabled man ‘wore “demonic” mask and stabbed carer after she caught him texting women’

A developmentally disabled man donned a ‘demonic’ mask and stabbed a caretaker 30 times while playing the theme song to the ‘Halloween’ horror movie, police say.

Ederaldo Frantz, 24, reportedly went on the rampage Saturday at a group home near Plainfield, Illinois after his caretaker took his cellphone away for texting girls.

The unnamed 50-year-old woman reportedly took Frantz’s phone away because he is not supposed to be texting women because of previous harassment.

Frantz went to his room after his phone was take and began listening to the theme music from ‘Halloween,’ Will County Police Chief Dan Jungles told The Herald-News.

He then grabbed the horrifying toothy mask and ‘the largest kitchen knife he could find’ and began stabbing the caretaker in the group home.

Fratz allegedly stabbed her six times in the house then chased her outside and continued stabbing her.

She was able to escape with the help of a neighbor, who called police.

Jungles said officers found Frantz on the side of a road wearing the mask and covered in blood.

‘It’s straight out of a horror movie,’ he said, describing the mask as ‘creepy’ and ‘demonic.’

The caretaker was rushed to the hospital suffering from deep puncture wounds after part of the knife had broken off and was stuck inside her.

She is reportedly recovering and doing well after undergoing surgery.

Frantz was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic battery, and aggravated battery.

He was booked in the Will County jail and his bond was set at $500,000.
